Hi! I'm Stephen Rhodes, a singer/songwriter originally from New York, who,long ago, decided to make Knoxville, TN, my home and has since become a fixture on the local music scene. I've been performing in a variety of bands and acts in and around Knoxville and in a variety of venues, including: The Vienna Coffeehouse, Preservation Pub, Corner Lounge, Timewarp Tearoom, Relix Variety theater, and various others. To date, I have released three albums albums: The self titled "Stephen Rhodes" in 2002, "Going Home", released in 2005, and
Brand New Day", released in 2021.
In addition to my own songs, I play a variety of covers by Neil Young, Van Morrison, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Gordon Lightfoot,and others. I would characterize my style as heavily blues and folk based. Lately, I've enjoyed learning new instruments, in addition to the guitar. I play piano, mandolin, ukulele, and banjo.
